You we most of us live in a plutocracy: a series of Governments of the rich for the rich.
"We the people," we the people my ass!

We the people are the ones who do the work and make the sacrifices so that Irvry towers don't come crashing down.

We the people need to stand up and demand representation
that is not based on retard puppet shows or a series of Lies, fear and out of control consumption.

Why in the fuck do we live in a society where it is actually nesassary to say, "hey dude don't bogart my fucking sense of morality?

1.) Learn to spell and look into punctuation, both are great things when used properly.

2.) If you can give me an example of any time in the last 170 years when the U.S. has bailed Canada out of trouble I would love to hear it.

Now, as any red-blooded American lad understands¡K the core of free speech is listening to those opinions that you personally despise.
This freedom, that you claim, you and your brethren are so generously spreading around the globe seems to only exist if people agree with you.

Point taken, you are correct in that assertion.

I do however have many thoughts on the subject and will post them at length soon. However, I was hoping to get a discourse going with many ideas from many sources rather than just me pontificating on the subject. Or people who disagree with me resorting to name calling in place of any logical discource.
However, I see that the peanut gallery has less than notable things to say.

I am not a politician and I am sure they sometimes have to make hard decisions etc but my sympathy only goes so far.

It is ridiculous that we vote people into power who lie and cheat us all the time on most things relating to politics. That a small percentage of humanity holds all the worlds wealth, that our leaders lied to go to war in Iraq so they could plunder the oil fields and "sort out" Saddam and Bin Laden. If they are involved in terrorism then yes they should be held accountable but going in and invading based on bullshit isnt really on is it? My brother in law has just come home from his third term in Iraq and I have heard his stories and seen his photos and its hell on earth. So much of what the news says and doesent say is unbeleivable. The troops are not even given the right equipment and he had to buy his own armour etc. All the cut backs from the government cost lives.

The thing in life is everyone has an opinion and not everyone agrees with what their leaders or your ideas or goals. Just because someone disagrees with you doesent mean they are wrong. People seem to lack tolerance these days to the most basic things (I admit I am guilty of that myself sometimes).

Racism, intolerance, hate etc will be here for ever as long as people exist and there is nothing we can do to stop it completley. All we can do is try and change ourselves for the better.

The other thing is whenever you see americans they dont do themselves many favours with their gung-ho attitude and the fact they think they can bully the world and police it. I like america and some of the culture, landscape etc and hope to visit one day. My country is not perfect either and I am not saying it is but you have to think before going to war etc (Bushes "bring em on" speech and Blair going along with all he says like a brainless git).

Blair being Bush's bitch is shameful. It is a long way from, "the sun never sets on the British Empire" to your Prime Minister being the back door bitch to a retard from Texas who can barely read, let alone be the leader of the "free" world

The world knows that Iraq was and is all about oil, you either: choose to admit that, or hide behind some kind of misplaced nationalism.

About 4 months before the initial invasion a dear friend of mine was in Iraq as the helicopter crew for UN inspectors. He came home and said that "Iraq was the ugliest place he had ever been, but the people were so warm and open, it is a real shame we have to kill them now."

That still is one of the saddest statements I have ever heard
